As of December, there are more than 370,000 job openings in the Empire State, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. But for workers seeking a new position, there are at least five New York-based employers in particular worth vetting.
Those five companies are among the elite in Forbes and Statista’s list of “America’s Best Large Employers.” Thousands of employees from 700 companies were surveyed and asked about salary, benefits, work environment and other relevant factors. Those responses along with other survey data were analyzed to provide the publication’s 2026 rankings.
According to Forbes, companies with more than 5,000 employees were considered large employers for the latest list.
