Iowa women’s basketball signee McKenna Woliczko and No. 2 nationally ranked Archbishop Mitty return to the California Interscholastic Federation Open Division state title game tonight against top-rated 2027 prospect Kaleena Smith and No. 1 nationally ranked Ontario Christian in a clash labeled as the MaxPreps National Championship.
Woliczko, who has played in 19 games (14 regular season and six playoff games) after recovering from an ACL and meniscus injury on January 2, is averaging 21.0 points and 11.3 rebounds per game while shooting 72% from the field.
Meanwhile, Smith, who is Iowa’s top-ranked 2027 prospect, is among the national scoring leaders, averaging 31.7 points per game to go along with 6.9 assists, 4.6 steals, and 3.7 rebounds.

The two powerhouse programs met on Jan. 10 during the Kay Yow Showcase in Santa Ana, Calif., where Smith’s 50 points powered the Lady Knights to a 96-87 overtime victory over Woliczko and the Monarchs. Despite being overshadowed by Smith, Woliczko would finish that game with 25 points and 15 rebounds.
