Class of 2026 defensive back Ronnie Hill has committed to Iowa football, he announced June 22.
Hill posted the following via social media: “First and foremost I want to thank GOD for being there through my journey, I want to thank my mama for being there and letting me make my decisions and just help guide me,I want to thank coach newcomb for helping me learn the game and becoming a young man. Want to thank coach Parker for giving me this opportunity and believing in me ,want to thank coach wynns for taking me under his wing with that being said I am committing to The university of Iowa !!”
Hill, who attends Adlai E. Stevenson High School in Sterling Heights, Michigan, is listed at 6-foot-1 and 183 pounds. Hill is a 3-star prospect, according to 247Sports, but isn’t rated by the 247Sports Composite.
Hill also reported offers from Miami (Ohio), Kent State and Northern Illinois, among others.
Hill recently attended a camp at Iowa. Here are some clips from that outing.
Hill becomes the third defensive player to commit to Iowa in the 2026 high school recruiting class. Defensive back Marcello Vitti and defensive lineman Sawyer Jezierski stand as the Hawkeyes’ other pledges on that side of the ball.
This is the second class of 2026 prospect Iowa has landed in June. Hill follows Jezierski, who announced his commitment to the Hawkeyes on June 10.
