Ankeny police were conducting a homicide investigation after an early Saturday morning dispute, police said.
Officers from the Ankeny Police Department responded to a call of a dispute at a home in the 1300 block of NW Reinhart Drive around 2 a.m. Saturday, March 14, according to a news release from police spokesperson Sgt. Trevor McGraw. Upon arrival, officers found a deceased individual who had not been identified by later Saturday morning.
Police were investigating the death as a homicide. A suspect, whom police did not identify, was in custody.
There was an increased police presence in the neighborhood as the investigation continued. There is not an ongoing threat to the public, McGraw said.
