Notre Dame Fighting Irish head coach Marcus Freeman seems as mystified by the College Football Playoff Committee’s decision to leave them out of the CFP as the rest of us.
According to ESPN’s Jen Lada, Marcus Freeman’s message to the team was one of disbelief.
“He said that usually he has answers or reasons for why these things happen. He has none & that was unusual. He said he has no answers. It doesn’t make sense. It doesn’t add up why ND is not in this playoff field,” according to Lada.
We tend to agree — even pundits, including those with ties to Alabama, like Nick Saban, seemed stumped on why the Crimson Tide are in and the Fighting Irish are out.
