A South Bend Police officer’s car flipped over during a suspect pursuit, Tuesday afternoon. The officer was not injured, police reported.
The South Bend Police Department conducted a pursuit of a wanted person, around 3:45 p.m. July 15, which started in the area of Portage Avenue and Diamond Avenue, east of Muessel Grove Park. One officer was involved in a rollover, but he did not suffer any injures, the department said. The department did not release the officer’s name.
Police said the pursuit ended at the Speedway gas station off of Brick Road, near the St. Joseph Valley Parkway on the ramp, and the suspect was taken into custody.
No other injuries were reported.
