Second Harvest food bank to benefit from donations July 31 at Pay Less stores

Pay Less Super Markets and the Anderson Speedway will unite Thursday to fight hunger, asking customers to help “Pack the Crown Vic.”

The four-hour food drive will gather donations from Pay Less customers in Anderson and Muncie, filling Crown Vic race cars with nutritious food for Second Harvest Food Bank.

Colleen Juergensen, president of Kroger Central Division, said in a news release, “Demand is up at food banks and pantries while donations are down. So, Pack the Crown Vic is an uplifting way to support a serious cause, ensuring food is available when local families need help.”

The drive will be 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday, July 31, at the Pay Less stores in Muncie and Anderson.
