Mayor Stephanie Terry selects new communications director

EVANSVILLE — Mayor Stephanie Terry has selected Anna Raben as the new communications director for her office.

Raben will take over for Ella Johnson-Watson, who held the position on an interim basis after Joe Atkinson left for a new job at the University of Evansville.

A graduate of Mater Dei High School and Purdue University, Raben has a degree in public relations and strategic communications.

Prior to starting her position in city government, Raben was the coordinator of events and community relations at Easterseals Rehabilitation Center. Before that, Raben worked as global communications manager for Berry Global and marketing communications at KOCH Finishing Systems.

In a news release, Terry stated Raben will bring strong experience and deep connection to the city.

“In this role, she will help lead communications for my office by clearly sharing the priorities, progress, and vision of this administration,” Terry stated. “At the same time, she will work with departments across city government to ensure residents stay informed about the work happening throughout our city. I am excited to have her join our team as we continue moving Evansville forward.”
