Indiana basketball's current losing streak hurts March Madness chances

BLOOMINGTON — Indiana basketball can’t afford another loss if it wants to go dancing.

The Hoosiers (17-12, 8-10 Big Ten) have lost four straight and face a must-win on Wednesday night against Minnesota at Assembly Hall. They will face the same scenario on Saturday in a matchup against an Ohio State team also teetering on the bubble.

USA TODAY (updated March 3): The latest projection as Indiana has one of the last four teams out alongside VCU, California and San Diego State.

ESPN (updated March 3): No. 11 seed in First Four against New Mexico with the winner advancing in the Midwest Regional (Chicago) to face No. 6 North Carolina in Oklahoma City. ESPN’s Joe Lunardi has the Hoosiers as his last team in.
