3 Indianapolis Colts make list of 'real NFL MVP candidates'

Three Indianapolis Colts’ players made ESPN’s list of the top 100 “real NFL MVP candidates.”

Seth Walder wanted to expand upon the usual five-player MVP ballot, so he went big and listed 100 MVP candidates and ranked them from 1 to 100.

The three members of the Colts who made the list were Daniel Jones, Quenton Nelson, and Jonathan Taylor.

Jones came in at No. 45. Through the first 10 games of last season, the Colts had one of the most productive offenses in football, led by Jones, who was putting up impressive production.

Nelson was ranked 63rd on Walder’s list. The 2025 season was another very good one for Nelson. Among all guards this season, Nelson ranked fourth in pass-blocking efficiency and fourth in run-blocking grade.

Then coming in at No. 91 was Taylor. It was another highly productive season for Taylor, who finished the season with 1,585 rushing yards — the third-most in football.

Along with that, Taylor was also ninth in average yards per rush and generated the third-most carries of 10-plus yards. He also led the NFL in total touchdowns, per PFF.

At the very top of Walder’s list was Drake Maye at No. 1, followed by Dak Prescott, Matthew Stafford, and Josh Allen.
