Taco John’s in East Peoria had its second consecutive inspection with no violations. Franchise director of operations Jim Rule credited the store’s staff for setting daily, weekly and monthly cleaning guidelines that surpass Health Department standards and ensure a positive experience for customers.
“Cleanliness is one of the first things a guest will look at to evaluate whether or not they will frequent Taco John’s,” Rule said. “If the bathroom is not clean, if the kitchen is not in order even during peak times, guests will carry that perception over to the food. No one wants to eat in a place that isn’t clean.”
Rule said the restaurant’s staff takes great pride in receiving perfect scores on back-to-back inspections, knowing that it helps build the bond between the crew and customers.
“We take food safety and cleanliness seriously and it is a cornerstone of the Taco John’s culture,” he said. “When a guest has a fantastic experience, they come back and, just as important, they spread the word. That is what makes our crews happy.”
