Five Peoria-area boys basketball teams have moved on to the Sweet Sixteen of the IHSA postseason.
In Class 2A, Manual gets a shot at another Elite Eight appearance, while Richwoods has a chance to make the program’s first-ever Class 4A supersectional. Tremont and rival Deer Creek-Mackinaw will meet in the Class 1A Sweet Sixteen. Morton takes on No. 1-ranked Kankakee in a Class 3A title game.
Here is what’s facing that group of five teams as they head into sectional title games on Friday:
CLASS 1A
Tremont (24-10) vs. Dee-Mack (26-6)
CLASS 2A
Manual (21-9) vs. Warsaw West Hancock (26-7)
CLASS 3A
Morton (29-4) vs. Kankakee (29-1)
CLASS 4A
Richwoods (26-7) vs. Edwardsville (24-7)
