The Jacksonville Jaguars are reportedly re-signing Quintin Morris. With free agency near, let’s take an updated look at the tight end depth chart, along with the level of need at this position, with a full offseason still in front of us.
For more on the Jaguars’ not-so-surprising decision to re-sign Morris, you can find that here.

Jaguars tight end depth chart before free agency
What is the Jaguars’ need at tight end this offseason?
The top four tight ends on the Jaguars’ depth chart from the 2025 season are all under contract for 2026. However, I would still expect GM James Gladstone to add to this unit at somepoint.
Part of the GM’s job description is to plan ahead, and looking ahead to 2027, all five of the tight ends currently on the roster are set to be free agents. And while we expect Strange to get a new deal at somepoint, we can’t say the same about the others.
So in an effort to plan ahead for Morris, Long, and Mundt being free agents in 2027, Gladstone could get a head start now by making another addition, preferably in the NFL draft, where a number of tight ends were able to stand out during the NFL combine.
