With the emergence of early signing periods and the transfer portal, the first Wednesday in February doesn’t carry the same cache as it did a decade ago.
Still, it was circled on the calendar by prep football players and other student-athletes set to live out their dreams.
The traditional National Signing Day took place on Wednesday, Feb. 4 with several of the Treasure Coast’s best putting pen to paper to make their collegiate futures official. The regular period opened for Class of 2026 athletes to sign with Division I and II football programs. Athletes from other sports also took part in ceremonies to announce their next athletic home.
