Three-star tight end has built a 'good relationship' with FSU

The Florida State Seminoles are looking to add a second tight end to their 2027 recruiting class, and Landon Wolny is a target to know. The three-star prospect is from Naples, Florida, and has already taken one visit to Tallahassee.

He is set to take his second at the end of the month when the Seminoles host the Alabama Crimson Tide in Week 1 of the season, he told John Garcia Jr. of Rivals. He also explained why they have emerged as a contender for him.

“They’ve been the hottest,” Wolny said. “I speak and/or text with their staff almost every day. Coach (Chris) Thomsen connects with me at least once a week. We have built a good relationship with the all the coaches there.

“I’m really big on building a relationships.”

Wolny is ranked as the No. 610 overall player and No. 34 tight end in the 247Sports composite rankings. The 6-foot-3, 205-pounder is also the No. 76 player from Florida.

The Seminoles already have a commitment from three-star tight end Connor Winn, but they are looking to restore the depth of the position with multiple younger players and Wolny will be a player to track.
