TCPalm’s Boys Athlete of the Week poll: Vote on the week's top local prep sports performer!

Vote early and often for the TCPalm’s Boys Athlete of the Week!

The poll is open until noon Thursday.

Each winner will be awarded a one-of-a-kind Athlete of the Week shirt provided by BSN SPORTS. Winners will be contacted weekly.

Nominees are accepted via email or phone, but will be selected by staff in the absence of submission.

TCPalm Boys Athlete of the Week (Sept. 15-20)

Bowling: Dylan Beck, Somerset College Prep – Beck rolled games of 241 and 244 during the Spartans’ match against Indian River Charter School.

Football: Mason Brown, St. Lucie West Centennial – Helping the Eagles crack 60 points in a game for the first time since 2003, the senior quarterback went 9-for-10 for 156 and three touchdowns during the team’s blowout of Bayside.

Golf: Luke Harrigan, South Fork – The senior was the medalist in a match against Vero Beach after carding a 3-under-par 33 during a match from the Hammock Creek Golf Club. 

Bowling: Maxeemo Hernandez, Port St. Lucie – The Jaguars junior rolled a high game of 252 against South Fork.

Golf: Jeremy Hsu, Morningside Academy – The Eagles junior earned medalist honors after firing a 4-under-par 32 during a match against Martin County from the Hammock Creek Golf Club. Days later, Hsu finished fourth in at the SSAA Championships with two-under-par 70 from the Cleveland Heights Golf Course in Lakeland.

Cross Country: Adam Kirkwood, St. Lucie West Centennial – The junior set an Eagles school record with a time of 16 minutes, 39.2 seconds at the Spanish River Invite to help finish an area-best seventh among Class 3A-4A teams.

Football: Amarion Queen, Martin County – The University of Central Florida commit pulled down a pair of interceptions to help the Tigers stifle Dr. Joaquin Garcia, one of which he returned to the opponent’s 1-yard line to set up a score.

Golf: Mateo Quenneville, Morningside Academy – The sophomore was the highest Eagles finisher in helping the team claim second place at the SSAA Championships. Quenneville earned runner-up honors four-under-par 68 from the Cleveland Heights Golf Course in Lakeland.

Diving: Colin Stumbo, Jensen Beach – The senior was victorious at the 1-meter dive during the IRSC TOI meet with a score of 248.3 to help the Falcons finish seventh overall.

Football: Gage Wilson, Jensen Beach – The sophomore provided both the longest and most significant plays during the Falcons’ comeback victory against Benjamin. Wilson reached paydirt on a 77-yard touchdown reception before sealing the game with an interception return touchdown in the fourth quarter.

Cross Country: Andrew Youssef, Vero Beach – The senior finished as the runner-up at the Spanish River Invite with a time of 15:41.8.
