Rainbow Roots Festival, an LGBTQ event, scheduled for Oct. 12 in Lakeland

The Rainbow Roots Festival, hosted by the Rose Dynasty Foundation and sponsored by Pineapple Healthcare, will take place Oct. 12 from noon to 6 p.m. at Lake Mirror Auditorium 121 S. Lake Ave., in Lakeland.

The family-friendly event will be a celebration of community, queer history, creativity and arts, according to a news release. The Rainbow Roots Festival, a safe and inclusive space that uplifts LGBTQ+ voices, will include performances and local vendors.
