The Florida Attorney General’s Office is seeking information about changes to Daytona Beach Mayor Derrick Henry’s biography on the city’s website, according to the latest in a series of subpoenas of city officials and others.
The Attorney General’s Office has been investigating Daytona Beach financial practices as the city faces other controversies, including reports from the city’s internal auditor and state auditors.
Another Attorney General’s Office subpoena recently ordered the city to produce records of spending linked to Henry, including a charge from Hotel President in Budapest, Hungary, in 2023 for $1,121.06.
Subpoena orders Daytona Beach to provide records by June 18
The latest subpoena says the city must provide the following records by June 18 to Attorney General’s Office in Daytona Beach.
The request is for records from Sept. 1, 2024, through June 2, 2026:
A subpoena is an order to provide information, such as a sworn statement or records.
