Sunday’s race will be the eighth 2026 race on NASCAR’s Cup Series schedule. It comes on the heels of a rare off-week for the Cup teams, who get just one more quiet weekend during the rest of the 36-race schedule.
The concrete-covered Bristol Motor Speedway measures 0.533 miles and is one of three Cup tracks between a half- and 5-eighths of a mile (Martinsville and North Wilkesboro are the others), but it’s comfortably faster than the others due to banking between 24-28 degrees,

Bristol has been a regular stop for NACAR’s Cup Series since the track’s 1961 opening. For the past 30 years, it’s been part of the speedway portfolio of Charlotte-based Speedway Motorsports.
Darrell Waltrip is the all-time wins leader at Bristol, with 12 victories.
