Miami vs FSU predictions, picks, odds: Who wins Week 6 college football game?

Can Miami football keep rolling against Florida State and send their hated rivals into a spiral?

UM enters as the favorite to win the ACC with a 4-0 record and the No. 3 ranking in the US LBM Coaches Poll. Their offense has been good, but Rueben Bain Jr., Akheem Mesidor and the defense have been the stars, allowing just 11.5 points (ninth) and 244.5 yards per game (13th). Quarterback Carson Beck lit up the opt-out-ravaged Seminoles in the 2023 Orange Bowl when he was at Georgia, going 13 of 18 for 203 yards and two touchdowns in just the first half of the 63-3 thrashing.

FSU fell to 3-1 and the No. 19 ranking after a gut-wrenching 46-38 loss at Virginia last week. The Seminoles defense may have suffered a setback, but the offense is still humming along to the tune of 53 points and 600 yards per game, both tops in the country. QB Tommy Castellanos faced the Hurricanes once before with Boston College in 2023: He ran for 130 yards and a touchdown but struggled passing with 151 yards, a TD and two interceptions in a 45-20 loss.

Miami vs FSU predictions, picks for college football Week 6

Liam Rooney, Tallahassee Democrat

Miami 31, FSU 28: “The Seminoles enter the game highly motivated after the loss to Virginia, and this week will be a much better version of the FSU team in comparison to the double overtime loss. This one will be close, almost a coin flip on who wins, and it comes down to which team wins in the trenches, and the advantage, currently, leans to Miami.”

Pete Fuitak, College Football News

Miami 30, FSU 23: “Miami’s lines will be better, the defense will be a little tighter, and despite a great first quarter from a fired up Florida State team that looks like it did early against Alabama, it won’t be able to take control for a full four quarters. Miami will grind it out late for a fantastic win that takes this year’s team to a whole other level.”

JD McCarthy, FSU Wire

Miami 32, FSU 27: “The Seminoles are looking to respond after their disappointing performance against Virginia, but that will be tough to do against the Hurricanes, who have the advantage on both lines of scrimmage. FSU’s offense will keep it competitive, but Miami will pull away late to cover the spread and hand FSU its second-straight loss.”

Cameron Ross, Picks and Parlays

Miami 34, FSU 14: “The Miami Hurricanes are the far superior team in this matchup, and it will be evident from the opening minutes this week. Look for Miami to dominate a lackluster Florida State team start to finish, leading to the win and cover.”
