Each year during March and April, Lee Health invites employees, volunteers, family members and prospective employees from across our community who work in — or aspire to enter — high-demand healthcare careers to apply for education grants.
Launched in 2015, the Lee Health Education Award Program has helped thousands of Lee County residents pursue and achieve their education and career goals. Fields of study have ranged from phlebotomy and nursing (bachelor’s and master’s degrees) to physical therapy, healthcare management, cardiovascular technology, midwifery, biomedical science, social work and more.
By supporting the education, growth, and development of our team members, we strengthen our ability to recruit and retain the best and brightest workforce, ensuring the safest, highest-quality care for our community.
Last year, 193 recipients received a total of $250,940 thanks to the generous support of local benefactors. Education grant recipients are selected based on academic achievement, financial need, career goals, and field of study. We are very grateful for the generous donors who invest in the future of healthcare in our community.
The application period is now open and runs through April 30. Those interested in applying can email HR@LeeHealth.org or call the Human Resources department, HR Connect, at 239-343-1555.
