The start time is set for the Miami basketball team’s next game in the 2026 NCAA tournament against Purdue.
The Hurricanes, seeded No. 7 in the West Region, opened their March Madness run by beating No. 10 Missouri 80-66 on March 20 in St. Louis. It was a game that resembled a mid-winter conference contest as the teams combined to shoot 46-for-117 (.393) from the field. Still, Malik Reneau’s 24 points and Tre Donaldson’s 17 points helped the Hurricanes pull away late to reach the Round of 32.
Miami is looking to make the Sweet 16 for the first time since back-to-back deep runs in 2022-23, culminating with a Final Four berth in 2023. In his first season in Coral Gables, coach Jai Lucas will now face No. 2 Purdue, who beat 15-seeded Queens 104-71. Matt Painter has taken the Boilermakers to the Sweet 16 in three of the past four seasons, including a run to the national championship game in 2024.
