FSU to hire Blue Adams as cornerbacks coach

Last week, UCF’s Brandon Harris was set to become Florida State’s new cornerbacks coach, but he’s now heading to Florida. The Seminoles are in the midst of finalizing a deal to fill that void according to Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports as Michigan State’s Blue Adams will take on the role.

Before going to East Lansing, Adams spent five seasons as the secondary coach at Oregon State. He also spent time as a secondary coach at USF (2017-2018), West Virginia, Northern Iowa, Purdue, and the Miami Dolphins of the NFL.

A Miami, Florida native, Adams played his collegiate football at Cincinnati. He was drafted in the seventh round by the Detroit Lions in 2003. He also had stops with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Chicago Bears, Cincinnati Bengals, and the Atlanta Falcons.

Four players have been drafted under the guidance of Adams including Rasul Douglas (2017) and Nahshon Wright (2021). Hopefully some of that pedigree can rub off on the Seminoles going forward.
