Florida softball coach Tim Walton was ejected during Game 3 of the Gainesville Super Regional.

Walton was ejected in the bottom of the fifth inning as the Gators trailed 16-7 to Texas Tech.

It appeared Walton was arguing balls and strikes. It also followed a warning to the Texas Tech dugout earlier in the game after the Red Raiders hit one of their five home runs.

Home plate umpire Paul Edds threw Walton out of the game. Assistant coach Aric Thomas took over coaching duties at third base.

It’s the first time this season Walton has been ejected.
