With only a few weeks remaining in the 2025 regular season, the battle to make the Florida high school football playoffs has begun.
Week 8 kicks off with one Thursday night game among Volusia-Flagler programs, as Halifax travels to Jacksonville to play Duval Charter. Twelve local schools take the field on Friday, with Mainland’s second bye week being the exception.
There are four games between area squads, including two showdowns between the four Class 7A schools. Flagler Palm Coast visits DeLand and Spruce Creek plays at University.
