Florida basketball’s Thomas Haugh will miss the first game of his career.
According to the SEC availability report, Haugh will be out in the Gators’ matchup against Mississippi State on Tuesday, Aug. 3.

A team spokesperson told The Gainesville Sun that it was, “precautionary.”
Haugh was initially listed as probable in the initial Monday night report.
Haugh has appeared in 108 games in his career and started in all 32 of UF’s games. This season, the junior forward has averaged 17.1 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. He has 12 different performances this season where he as scored over 20 points.
This is only the second time this season that a member of Florida’s starting lineup has missed a game and first time in SEC play. The only other occasion was when Alex Condon missed the Providence game back in November.
