St. Lucie County Fire District crews worked May 23 to extinguish a house fire that left no one injured, an agency spokesperson stated.
Crews were called shortly before 2 p.m. to the home in the 1300 block of Oakmont Lane, according to Fire District spokesperson Taylor Peeden. The location is just west of U.S. 1 off Southeast Veterans Memorial Parkway.
The home was about 30 percent involved with flames when firefighters arrived. Nearby homes were evacuated as a precaution as firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze.
The cause is under investigation.
Peeden stated a homeowner was among those who called 911. There were no reported injuries.
Red Cross officials came to the scene to provide emergency help to two people.
