The Bradenton Police Department has terminated officer Quinlyn Parnau, 29, following her arrest Wednesday, May 6, on charges of domestic battery and burglary of an occupied dwelling, according to a BPD press release.
Parnau, who joined the agency in 2020, was arrested by the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office after an alleged off-duty domestic violence incident, according to the BPD release.
“The community places its trust in the officers of the Bradenton Police Department, and any violation of that trust cannot be tolerated,” Chief Josh Cramer said in a statement. “We must hold our officers to a higher standard and have a zero-tolerance policy for any acts of domestic violence by those amongst our ranks.”
Parnau is the second BPD officer terminated in recent weeks.
Nicolas Leeman, 29, was fired on April 22 after he was arrested by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office and charged with felony child abuse.
The alleged incident, according to the BPD, involved one of Leeman’s children, and occurred while he was off duty.
