Best free agent from each NFC team this offseason

The Jacksonville Jaguars and the NFL will enter free agency on March 11th, and each team has a lot of tough decisions to make: who to keep, who to let walk, and who to sign.

While each team has plenty of talent, there are star free agents on each that the rest of the league will be gunning for. Here are the top free agents for teams in the NFC.

Here you can find the top free agents from each team in the AFC.

Arizona Cardinals: S Jalen Thompson

Thompson isn’t the most talked-about free agent, but there won’t be many teams sleeping on him. He’s a consistent safety who has averaged over 100 tackles per season. He’s versatile and underrated, which means he could be a bargain for a safety-hungry team.

Atlanta Falcons: LB Arnold Ebiketie

The Falcons have already used the franchise tag on tight end Kyle Pitts, but Ebiketie has shown flashes of greatness during his time in Atlanta. While he isn’t yet an elite talent, he’s reliable and there is a good possibility that he can unlock his full potential with another team.

Carolina Panthers: RB Rico Dowdle

Dowdle has had back-to-back 1,000+ yard seasons, with 2025 his best yet. He’s proven to be a solid starter or a strong RB2, and he’ll also be affordable. He’s versatile enough that he can fit into multiple different schemes, so plenty of teams are sure to be interested.

Chicago Bears: S Kevin Byard

Coming off a great season, Byard is an experienced leader and continues to be a strong performer despite being older. He’s continued to play at an elite level, including with a league-best seven interceptions in 2025. He would be a valuable asset to a defense, providing both talent and leadership.

Dallas Cowboys: K Brandon Aubrey

Aubrey is a restricted free agent, but he will get a lot of interest from teams around the league. He is expected to become the highest-paid kicker in the NFL, no matter where he lands, due to his accuracy and range. If Dallas can’t afford to keep him, there’s no doubting another team will be willing to pay up.

Detroit Lions: LB Alex Anzalone

As a captain and proven leader on the defense, Anzalone is already garnering interest from other teams. He’s got great football IQ and is strong in coverage and run defense, and bounced back well in 2025 despite being injured the previous year.

Green Bay Packers: QB Malik Willis

Willis has shown incredible growth during his time with the Packers, and he’s easily the most sought-after free agent on the market this year. He’s a dual-threat quarterback who is available in a QB-weak pool, and being that he’s only 26, he still has a future ahead of him.

Los Angeles Rams: S Kamren Curl

Curl is one of the best safeties in the league, and he’s capable of extremely high production without also making a lot of mistakes. He can play in multiple roles, though he excels against the run, can make major plays, and also have an impact in coverage. Wherever he goes, he’ll command a big payday.

Minnesota Vikings: LB Eric Wilson

Originally envisioned as someone to provide depth, Wilson’s production exploded in 2025, making him a starter in his own right. He is an elite blitzer, is smart and versatile, and even had strong production on special teams. For a team in need of a linebacker, Wilson is a very attractive prospect.

New Orleans Saints: CB Alontae Taylor

Taylor is young and versatile, and he saw a lot of improvement in New Orleans under Brandon Staley. He’s a great ballhawk and at 27, still has a long future ahead of him. He also has a lot of experience under his belt, and is arguably the best available cornerback on the market.

New York Giants: CB Cor’dale Flott

At just 24 years old, Flott has a promising career and was easily the best cornerback on the Giants roster, surrendering a completion rate of just 53% last season, according to PFF. He has a lot of potential and someone interested in the ability to develop will likely take notice.

Philadelphia Eagles: LB Jaelan Phillips

Phillips is an elite-level pass rusher who still has a lot of potential ahead of him. The Eagles understandably are anxious to keep him in Philadelphia; he’s versatile and despite not getting any sacks, he was great with bringing pressure, and having been successful in two different schemes, likely will continue to excel if he does sign with another team.

San Francisco 49ers: WR Jauan Jennings

Jennings is an incredible receiver, particularly in high-stakes, third-down situations. He’s tough and physical, able to block for the run, and had a career-high nine touchdowns in 2025. He is reliable and can make big plays, but he also wants to get paid, which could take him out of San Francisco. Other teams will likely be more than willing to open their wallets for his talents, though.

Seattle Seahawks: RB Kenneth Walker III

There is literally no better time for Walker to hit free agency. He’s fresh off not only a Super Bowl win, but being named the MVP at that, and for some insane reason, Seattle appears ready to let him walk. Why he hasn’t been tagged already is anyone’s guess, but he’ll have no problem getting snapped up by another team.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: WR Mike Evans

Evans has consistently been an elite-caliber receiver. He’s a Super Bowl champion, a six-time Pro Bowler, and has had 11 — yes, 11 — 1,000+ yard seasons. Tampa Bay is eager to keep him, but he is open to leaving, and there will be no shortage of interest in him.

Washington Commanders: WR Deebo Samuel

Samuel is unique in that he can serve as both a wide receiver and a running back, and even with a less-than-stellar season in 2025, he still played well. Samuel would be an affordable option that can provide talent and leadership, even if he isn’t the all-star he used to be.
