“As a road patrol officer in Palm Beach Gardens, Officer Breiner quickly became a beloved figure in our community,” department officials said in a prepared statement. “His professional approach to every situation and his ability to connect with people from all walks of life made him an incredible asset to the Palm Beach Gardens Police Department and our city.”

Born in the New York City borough of Queens, Breiner joined the United Marines Corps in May 2017 and served with distinction for five years. He was remembered as being a “class leader” during his time in the police academy, earning numerous awards.

According to the sheriff’s office, Breiner was traveling west on Southern Boulevard west of State Road 7 when his motorcycle began a “high speed wobble” and collided with curb in the center median. The force of the crash threw Breiner, who was wearing his helmet, from the motorcycle and he landed in the median.

“While his time with us was far too short, the positive impact he made on our community and the lives he touched will never be forgotten,” Palm Beach Gardens police officials said.
