With Week 1 here, the Jacksonville Jaguars have released their first unofficial depth chart of the regular season.
Now, as always, we need to take things with a bit of a grain of salt since this is an “unofficial” depth chart. However, there are a few things we can glean from this information as well.
Below are six takeaways from the Jaguars’ first unofficial depth chart of the 2025 regular season.
Where is Travis Hunter?
On offense, Hunter is listed as one of the starting wideouts, along with Brian Thomas Jr. and Dyami Brown–as we saw in the Jaguars’ preseason opener. On defense, he is with the second unit. During obvious passing situations is where we could see Hunter on the field.
Jaguars’ starting offensive line
As the Jaguars embraced competition up front this offseason, we’ve spent a lot of time wondering who would make up the starting five. It turned out to be exactly what everyone’s original projection was. At left tackle is Walker Little, followed by Ezra Cleveland, Robert Hainsey, Patrick Mekari, and Anton Harrison.
Who is TE2?
We will see a lot of both Johnny Mundt and Hunter Long this season, but Mundt is listed as TE2. As I’ve said previously, whoever the Jaguars viewed as the better blocker was going to win that job.
What about at running back?
We can anticipate a committee approach out of the backfield. However, when it comes to who is starting, the Jaguars have that listed as Travis Etienne or Tank Bigsby. The matchup and in-game situations will dictate who gets more snaps. We will see Bhayshul Tuten as well, but Etienne and Bigsby will shoulder the workload early on.
Will Devin Lloyd start?
Interestingly, at linebacker, we have another or situation. The Jaguars have the starting middle linebacker role listed as Devin Lloyd or Ventrell Miller.
Andrew Wingard is starting at safety
Wingard was competing with Antonio Johnson and Darnell Savage for the starting spot next to Eric Murray. All signs seemed to be pointing to Wingard winning that job based on playing time and performance this summer, and that’s how things played out.
