Art meets environmental urgency in ‘Overflow’
KX2 — the sister duo of Ruth Avra and Dana Kleinman — brings striking mixed-media sculpture to Arts Warehouse in “Overflow,” an exhibition that channels the beauty and fragility of the natural world. Working with repurposed metals, recycled canvas, and layered paint, the artists create bold forms inspired by waterways and coastlines while confronting climate pressures such as rising seas, pollution and overdevelopment. The result is work that’s visually captivating and deeply rooted in environmental awareness, inviting viewers to pause, reflect and consider our connection to the planet.
“Overflow”: On view through Dec. 6. Arts Warehouse (Back Room Gallery), 313 NE 3rd St., Delray Beach. Info: artswarehouse.org or 561-330-9614.
