3 To Do: Beach cleanup on Marco; Seafood Fest in Bonita and more

1. SATURDAY: Cleanup at South Beach

All are welcome to a beach cleanup from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 7, on South Beach, Marco Island.

Bags, gloves and a limited supply of buckets and grabbers are provided to volunteers. If you have one, bring your own grabber, bag or bucket.

Event organizer is City of Marco Island Beach & Coastal Resources Advisory Committee.

2. THIS WEEKEND: Bonita Springs Seafood & Music Festival 

Head to the Bonita Springs Seafood & Music Festival this weekend for music and great food, along with arts, crafts and other products.

Friday through Sunday, Feb. 6-8. Free admission. Festival is next to The Poker Room, 28001 Old 41 Road, Bonita Springs.

3. ON DISPLAY NOW: ‘Marco on the Move’ exhibit

The Marco Island Historical Society presents the island’s early modes of transportation from boats and bicycles to wheels and wings with a new exhibit, “Marco on the Move,” at the Marco Island Historical Museum.

The exhibit runs through March 21. The Marco Island Historical Museum is located at 180 S. Heathwood Drive and is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. Admission is free and the site is fully ADA compliant and accessible to all visitors.
