100 Buffet opens in Pensacola Friday. Here's everything you need to know before you go

Pensacola’s newest, highly anticipated Asian buffet, 100 Buffet, opens to the public at 11 a.m. on Oct.10 for its soft opening.

Since work began on the brand-new buffet at 19 N. Navy Blvd. earlier this year, replacing the former dual concept of Egg N Eggs and Xiscali Mexican Taqueria, anticipation has been building for the new West Pensacola restaurant. As a result, manager Jae Zhang is fielding dozens of calls per day inquiring about opening day.

Now, 100 Buffet is preparing to transition into its soft opening stage from Oct. 10-20, giving the Pensacola community a taste of all they have been working on. Zhang hopes the hard work will be reflected in the fresh, quality food offered at great value. Here are the answers to all your burning questions before your first visit.

What is 100 Buffet?

100 Buffet was designed as an all-you-can-eat establishment specializing in a variety of Asian dishes, made fresh on a constant rotation throughout the day, according to Zhang. The dishes will range from piping hot stir-fries to cool hand-rolled sushi at the counter. Customers will be able to walk in, pay to eat and then enjoy the buffet to their heart’s content.  Any food diners wish to take to go will be measured and paid for separately by the pound.

What are 100 Buffet’s operating hours?

Starting on Oct. 10, 100 Buffet will be open daily from 11 a.m. to about 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and stay open until 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. They will serve lunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., then transition into dinner from 3 p.m. until closing time, as reflected in the pricing.

How much does it cost to eat at 100 Buffet?

100 Buffet has released its soft opening prices, tiered as follows:

Note: Children 2 and under eat free.

How big is 100 Buffet?

100 Buffet offers an expansive dining room that can seat about 150 people, divided into booths and tables. 100 Buffet also plans to offer a more private party room option in time. Parties of at least six people will be charged with an automatic 18% gratuity.

What’s on the menu at 100 Buffet?

The menu includes a variety of Asian dishes, ranging from some of the Americanized versions, such as General Tso chicken, to more traditional dishes true to Southern China, such as the stir-fry mushrooms with oyster sauce, according to Zhang.

You’ll also see familiar favorites such as pepper steak, dumplings and more making an appearance on the menu.

Zhang said they wanted to start with dishes that are easily approachable for guests and transition into more unique dishes over time. Here are a few flavorful, must-try items that will appear consistently on the buffet line:

The buffet includes desserts, and beverages with unlimited refills can be added on for $2.59 each.
