Work started nearly two years ago on a mixed-use development at the corner of Shasta and Market streets in downtown Redding.
The Rib Cage will feature Odell Craft Barbecue, which will move from its current spot just south on Market Street to the development. Odell’s expansion will feature its popular menu of smoked meats, sides, a cocktail bar and patio dining.
Right next to Odell will be 12 market-rate one-bedroom, one-bath apartments.
K2 Development, which also built Market Center and Redding Public Market, is the Rib Cage developer.
Word is this new addition to downtown will open sometime in the second half of 2026.
