With a decision on his future looming over the Golden State Warriors’ early offseason, Steve Kerr turned his attention away from offseason chatter to the baseball diamond. The Warriors’ two-time championship-winning head coach was in attendance for Wednesday’s baseball game at Oracle Park in San Francisco between the Giants and San Diego Padres.

Despite being at the ballpark, Kerr’s attendance couldn’t solve the Giants’ problems against their division rival. Although Rafeal Devers was able to tie the game with a solo shot to left field in the fifth inning, the Padres tacked on two runs in each of the seventh and eighth innings on the way to a 5-1 victory at Oracle Park. Xander Boegarts and Gavin Sheets each went deep for the Padres on Wednesday in San Francisco. The Giants have now lost seven of their last eight games on their way to a 14-23 record.
