Deputies, aided by some concerned good Samaritans, arrested a Victorville woman this week on suspicion of driving drunk with an unrestrained child passenger, authorities said.
The arrest took place shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday, March 1, at Green Tree Boulevard and Greenbriar Drive, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials said.

A deputy noticed a Ford Focus driving with one tire completely flattened, riding on the rim, while being followed by several pickup trucks, according to a sheriff’s department statement. The deputy pulled the car over.
The driver, identified as 35-year-old Brittany Maria Barker, was found found to be under the influence of alcohol, according to sheriff’s officials and county booking records. Her 7-year-old daughter was riding as a front passenger, unrestrained.
“Through investigation, it was determined Barker drove from Apple Valley, traveled on the wrong side of the roadway, and struck multiple curbs,” the statement said. “The occupants of the pickup trucks were identified as citizens, attempting to stop Barker due to her erratic driving.”
She was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and child abuse with the possibility of causing great bodily injury or death, records show.
Barker was released from custody pending legal proceedings after posting bail, records show.
