USC women’s basketball to open 2026-2027 season vs UNLV in Las Vegas

USC women’s basketball still has plenty of games left to play this season. But it is never too early to start planning for next year.

This week, USC announced that the Women of Troy will open up their 2026-2027 campaign in Las Vegas against UNLV. The game will be played at T-Mobile Arena on November 2 as part of the Hall of Fame Series.

”We’re thrilled to take part in the hall of fame series and return to Las Vegas for the start of the 2026-27 season,” head coach Lindsay Gottlieb said in a statement. “It’s going to be an exciting year for our fans and supporters and we hope as many of them join us as possible as we tip off against UNLV in a fun season-opening matchup.”

Of course, the highlight of the matchup will be the expected return of superstar Juju Watkins. After missing the entire 2025-2026 season with an ACL injury, Watkins should be back in time for the start of next year. Getting to watch Watkins take the court for the first time in more than 19 months should give USC fans plenty of incentive to make the relatively short trip from Los Angeles to Las Vegas for the matchup.
