USC football re-enters USA TODAY US LBM Coaches Poll at No. 21 after taking down Nebraska

For the past two weeks, USC football was unranked in the USA TODAY US LBM Coaches Poll. After taking down Nebraska on Saturday night, however, the Trojans are back in the rankings, coming in at No. 21.

USC is one of six Big Ten teams in the top 25. Ohio State, Indiana, and Oregon held firm at No. 1, No. 2, and No. 6, respectively. Meanwhile, Michigan rose one spot to No. 20, while Iowa also entered the rankings at No. 24. Notably, Washington was the first team outside of the top 25.

In addition, Notre Dame, who beat USC in South Bend two weeks ago, rose two spots to No. 10. While it may be difficult for USC fans to root for the hated Irish, Notre Dame continuing to win may actually help the Trojans, as it makes the loss in South Bend look more respectable.

Of USC’s final four games, two are against ranked opponents: November 15 vs. Iowa and November 22 at Oregon. In addition, the Trojans will also host unranked Northwestern this Friday and UCLA to close out the regular season on November 29.
