Updated list of Rams' draft picks after Trent McDuffie trade

The Los Angeles Rams started the week holding eight picks in the 2026 NFL Draft, some their own and some acquired from other teams in trades over the last two years. After acquiring Trent McDuffie from the Kansas City Chiefs on Wednesday, their stockpile of picks has shrunk a bit.

The Rams gave up the No. 29 overall pick, a fifth-round pick and a sixth-round pick this year, as well as a third-rounder in 2027 for McDuffie. It was a massive haul for the All-Pro corner, taking a big swing at their weakest position.

Having already traded away their fourth-rounder in the move up for Ty Hamilton in last year’s draft, the Rams are now thin in the middle of the draft – though, as we know, that’s very much subject to change with all the draft-day trades that happen.

Here’s an updated list of the Rams’ picks in 2026. The official slots after Round 3 are still to be determined because compensatory picks haven’t been awarded yet.

The Rams traded away a fifth-round pick in the Roger McCreary deal last season, which is why they no longer have a fifth-rounder after the McDuffie swap. They also gave up a sixth-rounder in the Ernest Jones trade of 2024, but got one back in the McCreary deal. Trading Ben Skowronek away netted them a sixth-rounder in return for a seventh, while their current seventh-rounder is from the Tre’Davious White trade in 2024.

Got all that?

In addition to these five picks, the Rams are also projected to receive two seventh-round compensatory selections, according to Over The Cap. That would give them seven total selections, which is more than enough for Les Snead and Sean McVay.

There is a big gap between No. 93 and their next pick in the sixth round, though, so maybe there will be some shuffling on Day 2 and 3 of the draft to shorten that wait.

It’s important that the Rams managed to keep the No. 13 overall pick instead of trading it for McDuffie, allowing them to still select a blue-chip prospect or trade down to accumulate more selections in the middle rounds.
