Top performers in basketball, soccer, baseball from Feb. 23-28

Northern Section basketball and soccer players competed in section championship games on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 27-28. Meanwhile, Redding-area baseball players are starting to gear up for the 2026 season, with a couple of teams already hitting the field for season openers.

None of the local Redding-area boys soccer teams advanced to the championship round, and local softball teams have yet to see the field.
