The Los Angeles Rams are humming right along in 2025. They’re 7-2 and tied atop the NFC West with sights on a top seed in the NFC playoffs.
The next eight weeks will be crucial to the Rams’ plans this year, which means L.A. will need help from all over the roster to win as many games as possible before the postseason. While the Rams’ stars haven’t disappointed thus far, there are some other players on the roster who could show out in the second-half of the year.
Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox named Rams backup running back Blake Corum as a potential breakout player for the remainder of the 2025 season. His reasoning? The Rams have given Corum and more and more work as the year has gone and, and he’s starting to deliver.
Corum has logged double-digit carries in three straight games and has added 157 scrimmage yards in that span. Don’t be surprised if he helps form the sort of two-back attack that can carry the Rams deep into the postseason.
Corum has already eclipsed his rookie numbers in just nine games this season. He’s rushed 67 times for 307 yards and one touchdown and caught four passes for 15 yards. As Knox wrote, though, Corum has seen 13 touches in three consecutive games — all wins for L.A. Sean McVay has also said he likes the idea of splitting up his backfield, so it would make sense for Corum to see more work as the season progresses.
All it takes is a few big runs to chance a game, and Corum has the speed to pull off some good plays if he has the chance to in 2025.
