Puka Nacua's accuser drops restraining order request, is still suing Rams WR

The woman who accused Puka Nacua of biting her is voluntarily dropping her request for a temporary restraining order against the Los Angeles Rams wide receiver, according to TMZ Sports.

Her lawyer notes that she’s withdrawing the request “to focus solely on the civil lawsuit, which is still moving forward.”

A judge temporarily denied the woman a restraining order after it was filed, citing the need for more information, with a hearing scheduled for April 14. Nacua is accused of leaving an imprint of his teeth on her shoulder after biting her, and also making an antisemitic comment while out on New Year’s Eve this past December.

Nacua’s attorney has denied the claims and called it “blackmail.”

After the restraining order request was withdrawn, his attorney issued the following statement, confirming that Nacua still plans to sue for defamation.

Nacua is entering his fourth season in the NFL and is eligible for a contract extension for the first time. The Rams plan to begin negotiations with Nacua this offseason, though NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo notes it could “take a while” for a deal to get done – unrelated to the recent off-field news surrounding the receiver.

Nacua is coming off an All-Pro season in which he led the NFL in receiving yards per game and receptions.
