Authorities identified the person who was found dead at Sheridan Way School in Ventura on May 3.
Steven Salceda, 36, was from Ventura, according to the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office. The cause and manner of death of Salceda are pending.
Officers with the Ventura Police Department responded to Sheridan Way School on May 3 around 10:30 a.m. to a call from a member of the public about a non-responsive person, said Cmdr. Edward Caliento. The person, Salceda, was later declared dead, he said.
Caliento said no foul play was suspected, and the body and investigation were handed over about an hour later to the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office.
