NSCIF Soccer all-league teams for EAL, NAL, Mid Valley announced

The Northern Section’s all-league teams for the 2025-26 high school soccer season have been announced.

Chico High leads the Eastern Athletic League with four selections, including MVP Jose Zavala Jr. Despite placing second in league to Pleasant Valley, Chico defeated the Vikings in the NSCIF Division I championship game. Shasta had three players selected to the All-EAL team, followed by Pleasant Valley, Enterprise and Foothill — all of which had two selections each.

Anderson junior Israel Garcia-Gomez took home MVP honors for the Northern Athletic League. However, Anderson and U-Prep tied for most selections with four each. Redding Christian, which does not have a girls soccer team, earned four selections in the boys Mid Valley League.

Pleasant Valley led the EAL on the girls side with four selections, including MVP Madeleine Barteau. The Vikings won the 2025-26 EAL title but lost to Shasta in the NSCIF championship game. Shasta and Foothill each had three all-league players, with Red Bluff behind them with two selections.

The dominant West Valley girls soccer team, which completed the season with a perfect 10-0 record against NAL opponents, saw four girls make the all-NAL list. West Valley’s Brooke Webb took home MVP honors after scoring 21 goals for the Eagles this season. U-Prep also had four girls make the list.
