1 LB the Rams should target on each day of the 2025 NFL Draft

Inside linebacker is one of the biggest needs for the Los Angeles Rams heading into the 2025 NFL Draft.

Omar Speights and Nate Landman are poised to be the starters, but the Rams have no depth behind them. Any rookie addition would be welcomed, especially if they weren’t expected to start Week 1.

The Rams have a few options for drafting a linebacker depending on how the board falls and which positions they covet in each round. At No. 26, the Rams could take a top-flight linebacker, or wait until later in the draft to find a depth piece.

Here is one linebacker the Rams could target on each day of the draft.

Day 1: Jihaad Campbell, Alabama

Campbell is an NFL-ready player who could land anywhere in the middle or late-first round. He’s big (6-foot-3, 235 pounds) and productive (five sacks and 12 tackles for a loss, two forced fumbles and 117 combined tackles in 2024). Campbell would push Speights and Landman for a starting role in training camp.

Day 2: Carson Schwesinger, UCLA

Another tackling machine, Schwesinger has a clear nose for the football and the ball carrier. He would be a depth piece who could blossom into a starter. Schwesinger led the FBS with 90 solo tackles and also tallied four sacks and nine tackles for a loss in 2024.

Day 3: Danny Stutsman, Oklahoma

If the Rams wait at linebacker, Stutsman is a Day 3 guy who could be a steal. He tallied 376 combined tackles in 47 games, including more than 100 in the past three seasons.

Stutsman is experienced and productive—two traits that fit well as a good role player on a young defense.
