Port Sanilac, MI (May 29th) – The Sanilac County Historic Village & Museum invites the public to join in the celebration this Independence Day with a FREE Family Fun Day event on Friday, July 4th, packed with activities for all ages on the museum grounds in Port Sanilac. (Some items and experiences may cost money.)

Bring the kids and enjoy an exciting lineup of entertainment, hands-on activities, and local showcases:
● Port Sanilac Farmers Market | 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
● Live Music by Ourselves | Sponsored by the Sanilac Consortium for the Arts and the Farmers Market
● Timber Creek Petting Farm | Exotic animal showcases at 2:00 PM & 4:00 PM
● Loop-Harrison Mansion and Historic Village Tours | 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM Tour prices range from $5 – $15 per
● Pony Rides & Petting Zoo by Celebrating Magical Mobile Wishes | $5 per ride & $1 per feed
● Thumb Ball Pythons Exhibit | Featuring ball pythons and other snakes available for sale!
● Summer Reading Storytime in the One-Room Schoolhouse | 3:00 PM
● Character Meet-and-Greet | Featuring “Adventures of Dog and Bear” plus arts & crafts
● Hands-On Kids Activities | Chalk, hula-hoops, stilts, coloring, cornhole & more!
● Community Arts & Crafts Booths | Sponsored by local organizations and businesses
Special Performance at 5:00 PM:
The Deckerville Area Community Choir will perform a patriotic musical set inside the historic Forestville Church located on the museum grounds.
This event is part of the Sanilac County Historical Society’s ongoing mission to provide cultural enrichment and
educational programming to the public. Admission is free, and all are welcome to celebrate the holiday in this fun,
family-friendly setting.
