After an ice storm pummeled northern Michigan last week, residents will experience cold temperatures and snow this week.
According to the National Weather Service in Gaylord, windy and cold conditions are expected Monday, with an additional one to two inches of snow and wind gusts up to 30 mph.

The weather in southeast Michigan
In Southeast Michigan, a chance for snow showers is possible, according to the NWS office in Detroit/Pontiac with wind gusts ranging from 30-35 mph.
Temperatures range from 45-26 degrees, early in the week, with chances for snow Wednesday and Thursday.

Is it going to snow in the U.P.?
Lake effect snow showers will continue into Tuesday, the NWS office in Marquette reports, with some light accumulations possible tonight.
Additionally, Michiganders should expect cooler temperatures until the middle of the week with scattered snow showers. It will however warm up after Wednesday, with mostly sunny weather prevailing.
A cold front expected to hit Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo
According to the NWS office in Grand Rapids, a cold front will bring a light snow, Monday with highs in the middle 30s to lower 40s.
Tonight into Monday morning light snow showers are expected with amounts up to an inch. Skies then become partly cloudy Monday afternoon into Tuesday. Showers are expected Wednesday and Thursday on the west side of the state, which has a 60% chance of precipitation Wednesday night.
Southern Michigan/ Northern Indiana may see snow Wednesday
A cold front is expected to pass through southern Michigan according to the local NWS office, with a few showers. As Monday moves on, Michiganders can expect winds to pick up then diminish overnight.
