If you’re hoping to spend some time outside with mom on Sunday, May 11, for Mother’s Day, it should be mostly dry and warm, according to the National Weather Service.
While dry conditions are expected most of the weekend, there is a slight chance of isolated showers on Saturday, May 10, for Lansing, Grand Rapids, Gaylord and Traverse City.
On Mother’s Day, with dry conditions, highs range from 77 to 51 degrees in the Lower Peninsula. In the Upper Peninsula, highs will be in upper 60s and 70s, with Ironwood possibly seeing 80 degrees as an area of high temperatures over the Dakotas, Minnesota and Nebraska moves northeast.
The Gaylord area could see some morning frost early on Mother’s Day before warming to about 70 degrees during the day.
