Potential offensive line coach takes different job, not going to MSU

Following the hiring of Pat Fitzgerald, he is now tasked with building his first coaching staff in East Lansing. With the Spartans head man being out of the sport for the last three years, who his staff will contain is not as cut and dry as it usually is.

One candidate that made a ton of sense for the Spartans to add was Kurt Anderson to be the team’s offensive line coach. Anderson spent 2018-2024 working for Northwestern as the school’s offensive line coach. Spending this past year at UMass, he was a prime candidate for MSU.

That will no longer be the case, though, with Anderson taking the offensive line coaching position with Bill O’Brien’s staff at Boston College.
